Here at Douglas Outdoors, we knew we would have to develop the best Spinning and Casting rods to make our mark in a crowded marketplace.
So, we went to work. Our rod design team, led by Pro Angler Fred Contaoi, built a crisp and concise line comprising of 13 Spinning and 14 Casting rods.
The DXS and DXC rods are the culmination of our design team’s experience fishing in over fifty nations and every imaginable condition. Using our exclusive, new proprietary xmatrix material, Douglas’ DXS and DXC series is truly premium. The result is 27 of the most exquisite actions that provide excellent strength to weight ratios and stunning looks.
This light-duty 3-piece rod is perfect for the light tackle angler on the go. Trout, bonefish, bass, grayling and panfish can all be tackled with this gem of a rod.
This in-shore spinning rod will work well for casting bucktail jigs for stripers and surface lures. Jacks, reds, juvenile tarpon, cobia and snappers can be subdued with ease. The added length will make distance casting a snap.
This rod is a great choice for casting lures in lakes and rivers for trout and small-mouth bass. It casts a jig and float well for both trout and crappie. Split shotting small plastics for bass is also a treat with this rod.
This is a very light and sensitive drop shot rod. It has a light tip so you can detect the subtle bites as the bass takes your worm. The rod also works well for wacky worming.
This is an all-around light-line bass fishing rod. Perfect for casting tubes, soft plastics and spider grubs. Lots of power and sensitivity with this light line rod.
This is a super light and sensitive, yet responsive, rod for steelhead side-drifting from a boat. It’s one piece design allows the angler to whip even the largest steelhead with light line. The rod also works well for light-line bass casting of small crank baits. We use the microwave system of guides to increase distance and line control on this rod.
