Billy Mitchell grew up chasing striped bass around the sand flats, estuaries, and ocean fronts on Cape Cod. A licensed captain, he guides clients during striped bass season along the south shore of Massachusetts, Cape Cod Bay, Buzzards Bay and Vineyard Sound. While stripers are always at the forefront of his mind, Billy has also been known to chase the schools of false albacore and bonito that pop up in the Fall, and the occasional brook trout in the Cape streams. Billy founded and manages Seven Stripes Fishing, a guide service, fishing content brand, as well as podcast, which features conversations with local guides, tackle manufacturers, and fishing brands focused on fishing lifestyle and conservation. Billy’s work has been published in On the Water Magazine, Tail Magazine, and Anglers Journal. He is an English lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
