Captain Andy Skrivanich is a professional angler, guide, fishing instructor and owner of MaineOutdoorGuides in Camden, Maine. He is a U.S.C.G. Captain, and registered Maine fishing guide for fresh and saltwater. Andy grew up in California fishing the Delta, North Coast, Eastern Sierra, the Shasta/Lassen area and other places like Pyramid Lake, Nevada.
Andy fishes with fly and conventional gear and is at home with either style. He makes his own shooting heads for fly fishing and is always on the lookout for weed patches to flip into. He loves sharing Maine's dynamic and overlooked fishing opportunities with sports of all ages. His clients always comment on how nice the rods and his cohorts think he's nuts for guiding with them.
He actively guides and fishes for Stripers, Small and Largemouth bass; Brooks, Browns and 'Bows; Northern Pike and American Shad. In the summer Andy holds mini fishing camps for local and visiting kids to get them hooked on fishing. He guides the coast to the famous Belgrade Lakes area, China Lakes region along with the Kennebec, Penobscot and Androscoggin rivers, fishes from 19' AlumaCraft center console or 14' Flycraft drift raft.
He guides with the excitement from his youth and the steadiness of experience. When he's not guiding Andy is serving his community as a firefighter and EMT.
