We pride ourselves on the efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness at which we warranty rods. The average turn around on a warranty claim is less than 7 business days (within the contiguous US)! All our rods are backed with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner with proof of purchase. Please see the warranty information listed below before starting your warranty claim.
Under our Limited Lifetime Warranty, Douglas Outdoors reserves the right to replace any discontinued models with comparable models when necessary.
Fly Rod Warranty

All our Fly Rods are backed with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner with proof of purchase. The Douglas Outdoors Fly Rod Warranty is a no-fault replacement rod program.
For international warranties please contact our customer service at 315-695-2000. There may be a distributor in your area that can handle the claim.
Claims made within the contiguous United States are responsible for $45/each section + $20 S/H per order. Shipping rates for claims from outside of the contiguous United States (including International) are subject to additional shipping fees.
All warranted items are shipped using either UPS or FedEx ground services. Includes manufacturing defect or accidental damage warranties.
Reel Warranty
All our Argus reels are backed with Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original owner with proof of purchase. The benefits of the warranty may not be assigned by the original owner to another party. Spin & Cast Rod Warranty
All our Conventional Rods are backed with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner with proof of purchase. The Douglas Outdoors Conventional Rod warranty is a no-fault replacement rod program. Replacement rod or sections is $50 plus shipping and handling within the contiguous United States.

Control Code
Most Douglas rods have a 3 character control code which will help us identify the correct item. Some older rods may have 2 characters. This code should be located somewhere around the rod logo near the handle. Refer to this photo for the code location when filling out the warranty form below. If for some reason you can’t read the code, please enter ‘zzz’ in the form.

Rods Range from 1 piece, to 6 piece rods. When selecting your section for warranty, please use the guide example below.
