Kirk Marks
Kent Island, Maryland
Outdoor creative, freelancer, whatever you want to call him—at the end of the day, Kirk Marks is a storyteller. He’s a lifelong angler and hunter, freelance photographer and writer, and the culinary editor at Flylords Magazine. Over the years, Kirk has authored many stories promoting a conservation-first narrative, encouraging a deep-rooted connection to food, while advocating for some good old-fashioned tomfoolery along the way. He hosts international fly-fishing destination trips but loves pursuing the species in his own backyard just the same. The Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding tributaries are Kirk’s home waters, where he enjoys targeting striped bass, red drum, cobia, northern snakehead, and musky, among other species.
