Mark Benson is the Director of Fly Fishing at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and a Fly Fishers International Certified Casting Instructor with more than 30 years of guiding and teaching experience. A US Coast Guard licensed captain, he has helped thousands of anglers improve their fly casting and fishing skills on freshwater rivers, saltwater flats, and destination fisheries around the world. An accomplished writer, photographer, educator, and speaker, Mark is passionate about making fly casting easier to understand through practical, real-world instruction and is the creator of the Path • Power • Pause teaching framework. When not teaching or guiding, he enjoys exploring new waters, photographing wildlife, and promoting conservation and stewardship of our fisheries and natural resources.
