Matt is the lead guide at Arbor Anglers in Lafayette, Colorado. With 250 plus days a year and over thirty years of fly fishing, tying and guiding experience there are but a few situations in which Matt has not put a rod through on the water! “Douglas Rods are an easy choice for me each day! Matt grew up splitting his time between Lafayette, Colorado, and central California, chasing tricky tailwater trout on tiny dry flies and long fine tippet! This love for the technical aspect of the sport led Matt to take part in many fisheries’ biology studies for trout as well as aquatic entomology research projects. In addition to helping local clubs introduce people to fly fishing, Matt has also taught classes on entomology and fly tying over his guiding career.

Matt is a full-time guide and fly-fishing instructor at Arbor Anglers in Lafayette, Colorado. When he’s not on the water bending a Douglas Rod, he’s probably playing tennis, camping with his dog, or spending time with great people!
