The DXC 745F excels at dragging a jig in tight structure, skipping under docks, punching holes in mats, counting rocks, and other similar techniques.

DXC 745F | 15-25 lbs | Medium Heavy

The DXC 745F casting rod was designed to be great in several bass fishing applications. However, it especially excels at dragging a jig in tight structure, skipping under docks, punching holes in mats, counting rocks, and other similar techniques. Whether you’re chasing largemouth bass in weed beds or smallmouth bass on reefs, the DXC 745F is a great all-around bass rod for all situations. The sensitivity is perfect for detecting subtle bites and distinguishing a bass from rocks or other submerged structures. The tip-to-backbone ratio allows for sweep-setting the hook and keeping a fish pinned all in one motion. This means greater control, and bringing fish all the way to the boat.

At 7’4”, the DXC 745F is a few inches shorter than a typical 7’6” rod in this class. This helps give you more control of the rod in your hand and allows for more precise casts. At the same time, the rod won’t sacrifice performance or feeling too lengthy. There is also enough play in the rod that you can still achieve an effective hookset by just leaning in. There is no need to feel like you have to overpower the set. Throwing chatterbaits is a blast on the DXC 745F, especially in grass or fisheries with heavy cover. It pulls chatterbaits straight through cover with an effective stop-and-go movement, prompting a reaction strike from fish.

To top it all off, the DXC 745F has proven its toughness and performance at the highest level, including the Elite Series, Bassmaster Classic, and other tournament circuits across the country. It’s the type of casting rod that you want to keep at the top of your rotation and consistently go-to in all bass fishing scenarios.

If the DXC 745F is close, but not quite the rod you’re looking for, we have you covered. The DXC 744F offers less power, along with a lighter line and lure rating. Or, for more power and a faster action, along with a heavier line and lure rating, look into the DXC 746XF. Both models are also 1-piece rods with the DXC 744F weighing roughly the same as the DXC 745. However, the DXC 746XF is 1.5 oz heavier, due to its more robust build to handle heavier line and to throw heavier baits.
