Captain Mike is a U.S.C.G. Licensed captain and has been teaching the sport of fly and light tackle angling since 2002. Based out of Punta Gorda on Florida’s southwest coast, he has direct access to pristine Charlotte Harbor and all its adjacent bays and sounds. He runs a Maverick technical skiff specializing in working mangrove, grass flat, and oyster bar country. Sight fishing when possible; Shallow water hunting. He believes fishing should still be fun. Teaching is his passion as he’s learned that if we begin to understand the nature of local game fish and their habitat’s we’ll develop into better anglers as well as stewards of the flats. Beginning saltwater fly fishers are always welcome. Learning to cast is a lot of fun and Capt. Mike can help build your confidence as well as fish.
